Desi Banks Develops New Sitcom with BET Studios

Comedian Desi Banks is set to star in a new half-hour sitcom in collaboration with BET Studios, drawing inspiration from his stand-up material. The show, which is still untitled, will focus on a charming yet determined comedian navigating the challenges of fatherhood, relationships, and his lifelong aspirations. Banks is co-writing the project with Malcolm ?Champ? Heaggans and both will serve as executive producers. The sitcom will highlight the Atlanta connection, as both Banks and Heaggans are from the city, with production support from local companies like Quality Films and 3 Arts Entertainment, which has a new office in Atlanta. Additionally, notable executive producers include Jermaine Johnson and Kevin ?Coach K? Lee, among others. Currently, Banks is on his ?Elevation Tour,? which follows his previous ?Purpose Chaser Tour,? and he has performed alongside various high-profile comedians.
